Information
Trinity Priority Window
- The priority window for Trinity students and alumni ends at 23:59 on the 23rd January 2026. After that point, the committee cannot guarantee tickets for Trinity students, alumni or any guests they may wish to bring.
Guests
- Trinity Students are able to bring up to two guests, and these guests do not have to be students at Oxford University.
- Students may change the name on their guest tickets at any time before the Ball, but the name on the principal ticket cannot be changed.
- The names on the tickets can be changed without charge until 1st March, but after that point name changes will incur a fee.
General Release
- Once the Trinity window has closed, the rest of the tickets will go on sale in the General Release.
- This window will open on the 1st February and will be done on a purely first come first served basis until tickets have sold out.
- If you fail to secure tickets in the General Release, you may opt to join a waiting list in the event that further tickets become available.
- Each General Release ticket has the option to bring a guest.
Sale and resale
- Tickets can only be sold and resold through the OXEX ticketing platform.
Dining
- All ticket-holders are entitled to pay a further £100 to be entertained in the Trinity Hall for a banquet of surreal proportions: a Champagne reception, four courses, and paired wines in Trinity’s recently-renovated dining Hall which will be decorated like never before.
- Ticket holders may choose to add this option at any point after purchasing the ticket via the OXEX platform, but it is important to be aware that tickets may sell out.
- There will be no seating plan, and it will be done on a first-come-first-served basis, as with a typical Formal Hall, but requests for grouped seating may also be accommodated. Please contact commemoration-ball-ticketing@trinity.ox.ac.uk if you would like to make such a request.
Queue jump
- Ticket-holders are also encouraged to purchase a queue jump add-on. This entitles the holder to enter a different queue and thus spend less time waiting outside and more time enjoying the revelry inside.
- As with a dining ticket, this can be added at any point after purchasing the ticket, but please do be aware that there are only a limited number of queue jump tickets on sale.
Theme and Dress Code
The theme of the Ball is La Révolution Surréaliste. Inspired by the Surrealist movement of the early 20th Century and some of the exquisite parties and balls that have been dedicated to the movement, the committee hopes to bring you a night of surreal indulgence.
The dress code for the event will be white tie. Further details on this will follow, including a guide to how to wear white tie and details of discounts on rental or purchase. In addition to white tie and in homage to our theme, we encourage attendees to wear ‘surreal heads’ or anything that might add to the surreal atmosphere of the occasion. - All attendees must be over the age of 18. IDs will be checked on admission to the ball.
- It is not permitted to bring illicit substances to the ball and anyone found in possession of such substances risks being removed.
